Ms. Irma Makharashvili, Dean of the Faculty of Business at Caucasus International University and Ms. Lali Mikeladze, Associate Professor, Supervisor of Undergraduate Program in Tourism met students and discussed the significance of future relations between the university and Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation.
Ms. Lali Mikeldze provided detailed information concerning the history of the establishment of the foundation, functioning, mission, aims, partner organizations, current and future plans. In addition, she discussed the results of the training for trainers, in which she participated on October 22-26 by the invitation of Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation (Life Beyond Tourism – Florence, Italy).
We would like to remind you that a memorandum of mutual collaboration was signed between CIU and Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation on the basis of the supervisor’s negotiations within the framework of the visit. The document is a step forward in strengthening the internationalization process for the university students.
The supervisor of the Tourism Program divided her speech into several parts and discussed in details the activities implemented during the training, innovations, opportunities and resources offered by Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation to the youth.
Firstly, Ms. Lali Mikeladze introduced the photo-competition platform to Tourism Program students. She highlighted the conditions for participation and registration and expressed her support and assistance towards students interested in the competition.
Ms. Lali Mikeladze placed emphasis on the Conference-Congress to be held on March 1-3 (2019) under the auspices of the Foundation and, similarly, expressed her readiness to help interested students in the process of preparing papers and topics.
Program supervisor introduced Romulado Del Bianco Foundation web-page and other web-platforms to students and asked them to familiarize themselves with the resources.
Lali Mikeladze, Supervisor of Undergraduate Educational Program in Tourism and Associate Professor summarized the cultural-outdoor activities which was included in the training in her report. In particular, the professor talked about the viticulture and winemaking of the Toscana region, Chateau, Florence hotels, cultural heritage, catering facilities, environmental protection and tourism sustainable development trends and foundation model of the significant issues.
It is worth mentioning that Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation is a member of UNWTO and ICOMOS and it unites five continents, 5212 cities, 111 countries and 500 institutions and Caucasus International University is among them.
