Members of the OSCE Youth Network Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly (Participants of the Vienna Summer School) and CIU International Relations Students of the Faculty of Social Sciences met Ketevan Chumburidze, Deputy Head of the Political Department of the Ministry, Ana Gabrichidze and Ana Giorgobiani, the representatives of the Department of International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
At the meeting, both parties discussed students’/youth’s active participation in defining perspectives of youth politics of European security and collaboration organization (OSCE) and implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2250 issues. The above mentioned resolution refers to the involvement of young people in the decision making process of peace and security across the globe.
In addition, it is significant that CIU graduate, MA student of OSCE Academy, Lasha Kantelashvili provided information about the importance of the academy and its function. Furthermore, he placed emphasis on strengthening collaboration with Austrian Peace Academy and the discussion of the above mentioned issues attracted the attention of the representatives of the Ministry.
