Due to the emergency situation in the country, Georgian Public Broadcaster has created a new educational channel - First Channel - Education, which is already on air.
From March 30, students will be able to watch TV lessons on TV channel, within the framework of the joint project Telescope initiated by the Ministry of Education and the First Channel of Georgia.
A schedule will be developed together with the Ministry of Education, which covers subjects according to grades envisaged by the National Curriculum.
The First Channel - Education will air extracurricular lessons and educational materials at the weekend. They will be not only for children but for viewers of all ages as well.
It should be noted that a series of films - “Qartli’s Life with Mariam Lortkipanidze” consisting of sixteen educational-cognitive documentaries and produced by Caucasus International University Multimedia Center will be among the educational materials. The series of films discuss and analyze the stages of Georgian history and developments over the centuries in relation to world historical processes.
Cognitive-documentary films will be used by teachers as part of the curriculum.
