Caucasian Race - Gia Kvashilava’s Public Lecture at CIU

Gia Kvashilava delivered a public lecture on the topic Caucasian Race by Blumenbach, Hegel and other scholars at Caucasus International University on October 17, 2019.

During the lecture, the presenter placed emphasis on such significant issues as: Blumenbach’s scientific activities; classification of human skulls by Blumenbach; The beautiful skull of a young Georgian female; The location of the skull of a young Georgian female and her copy; Angles of inclination of the skulls; “Caucasian race”.

It is worth mentioning that on the base of the skull of a young Georgian female Blumenbach called white people “Caucasian”. The term “Caucasian” is still used in the United States of America to describe white people.

We would like to remind you that mathematician Gia Kvashilava is a scientist-researcher of Caucasus International University. In addition, he is a member of the International Linguistic Society of America.

The public lecture was attended by CIU students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and academic staff.
