Defense of Master’s Theses

“Prospects of Use of Muskat Rkatsiteli in Winemaking”, “The Role of Georgian Wine in the Development of Country Tourism”, “Collection Study of Wild Vine Forms at Jighaura Experimental Base”, “Wine of Local Production – Mukuzani Marani Planning” - this is an incomplete list of Master’s theses, which was held on July 18, at CIU Faculty of Viticulture and Winemaking. Nine MA students defended MA theses. Guram Papunidze, Doctor of Technical Sciences chaired the Master’s Thesis Defense Committee of the Program in Georgian Viticulture-Winemaking.

Committee Members:

1. Olan Gotsiridze – Academic Doctor of Technical Sciences, Supervisor of MA Program in Georgian Viticulture-Winemaking, Associate Professor;
2. Temur Gonjilashvili – Academic Doctor of Technical Sciences;
3. Irma Mdinaradze – Academic Doctor of Agrarian Sciences, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Viticulture-Winemaking;
4. Davit Maghradze - Academic Doctor of Agrarian Sciences, Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Viticulture-Winemaking.

The defense of Master’s theses was attended by scientific supervisors, reviewers and other invited guests.

• Mariam Khositashvili – Doctor of Technical Sciences, CIU Professor;
• Vazha Gotsiridze - Academic Doctor of Agrarian Sciences, main agronomist of LTD “Sevsamora”;
• Davit Tamarashvili – Academic Doctor of Technical Sciences, CIU Associate Professor;
• Levan Ujmajuridze – Director of Scientific-Research Centre of Agriculture;
• Nunu Mitskevich – Academic Doctor of Biology, CIU Advisor to Chancellor in Scientific-Research Direction;
• Londa Mamasakhlishvili – Academic Doctor of Agriculture, Scientific Research Centre of Agriculture, main specialist of Viticulture-Winemaking Service.  

The Master’s Thesis Committee announced final assessments and scores after listening to the presentations of MA students.

It is worth mentioning that CIU MA students of the faculty of Viticulture-Winemaking received positive assessment of the committee members, which was later reflected in the scores. According to the decision of the committee, MA students were awarded an academic degree of Agrarian Sciences.
