Caucasus International University fifth-year students (tenth semester) had a final exam in Pediatrics Academic Discipline by using a new method of assessment, in the format of objectively structured clinical exam (OSCE).
The exam was attended by Lali Mekokishvili, the Dean of CIU Faculty of Medicine and Marina Gedevanishvili, Head of Quality Assurance Service.
The test conducted by OSCE method was held in two stages: 16 students in clinical stations and testing rooms. The exam was conducted jointly by the head of the Clinical Skills Center, Ekaterine Kipiani and the subject Professor - Nino Totadze.
We would like to remind you that objectively structured clinical exam (OSCE) represents a new method for assessing knowledge and skills and is acknowledged as one of the main standards of medical education by the World Federation for Medical Education and The World Health Organization.
This method is used to assess clinical skills acquired by a student and formed clinical competences.
