International Scientific Conference and School – Innovative Technologies in Clinical Immunology: From Immuno-Diagnostics towards Personalized Targeted Immunotherapy and Immuno-Rehabilitation is held from June 15 to June 19, 2018.
The symposium Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia was opened at Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel on June 17. Presenters and specialists of the field (including Nicholas Chiorazzi – The USA and Sergey Krisov – The United Kingdom) made presentations around the above mentioned topic. It is worth mentioning that CIU, as one of the project partners, provided the accommodation of the presenters.
CIU academic personnel made presentations on Onco-Hematology at the symposium and they worked out plans for future collaboration with their foreign colleagues.
Project participants visited National Center for Disease Control and Public Health/The Richard Lugar Public Health Research Center on June 17. Amiran Gamkrelidze, General Manager of National Centre for Disease Control hosted them.
Paata Imnadze, Scientific Director showed the guests Lugar Center Laboratory and material-technical base.
Satellite session was also held with the Association of Immunization and Vaccinology (AIVA) within the framework of the school-conference. The presentations made by the members of the Association mainly referred to achievements of vaccinology and innovations.
It is worth mentioning that by the initiative of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health students engaged in the project will be able to pay a working visit at The Richard Lugar Public Health Research Center even after the completion of the project.
International Scientific Conference and School – From Immuno-Diagnostics towards Personalized Targeted Immunotherapy and Immuno-Rehabilitation is a project funded by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation. The event is organized by Georgian Association of Allergology and Clinical Immunology. Caucasus International University is one of the partner organizations.
