Caucasus International University organized a public lecture: National Consolidation and Restoration of Georgian Statehood – 26 May, 1918 dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Democratic Republic of Georgia.
The lecture was conducted by Ketevan Shoshiashvili, the university Affiliated Professor and it was attended by CIU academic personnel.
The speaker discussed in details the collapse of Georgian state in the 15th century and consolidation, the Treaty of Georgievsk and period of the beginning of National Movement.
Ketevan Shoshiashvili addressed several main directions and highlighted the Georgian public, political and literary movement in the 60s of the 21st century – “Tergdaleuli” movement and Georgian periodical press of the 21st century.
At the concluding part of the lecture students were given opportunity to openly express their position and ask questions to the professor.
