Ani Bobokhidze, a third-year student of the faculty of international relations at Caucasus International University was named as the favourite of Association ASTA at the project of Students’ Amateur Theatre Association “Mask 2016” on 10 December, 2016. Festival committee nominated one of the actresses of “Wine Theatre” Mariam Gigauri for the best actress in a supporting role.
Caucasus International University “Wine Theatre” performed a play staged according to Stefan Zweig’s
novella “Letter from Unknown Woman”.
A number of actors have debuted. Ekaterine Kvirkvelia, Master of Theatrical Art, Director and CIU “Wine Theatre” Art Director was named as an Honorary Member of the festival at the opening ceremony.
“Mask 2016” takes plays for the fifth time. CIU Theatre Company has participated in Students’ Amateur Theatre International Festival for the fourth year. The aim of the festival is to facilitate communication between university students, share experience and establish further professional and creative relations.
Students’ Amateur Theatre International Festival was opened on 2 December, 2016 and was close on 10 December, 2016.
