A scientific conference – “Modern Challenges of National and International Security” - was organized jointly by Caucasus International University and National and Corporate Security Training and Research Center on December 13.
The conference was opened by Kakhaber Kordzaia, Caucasus International University Rector. Mariusz Maszkiewicz, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Georgia, Kanat Seitzhanov, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Georgia, Major General Koba Kobaladze, Director of the State Service of Veterans Affairs, Lieutenant General Vakhtang Kapanadze, Associate Professor of Caucasus International University, Davit Kukhalashvili, Director of National and Corporate Security Training-Research Center and George Khatidze, Dean of the Faculty of Law of Caucasus International University greeted the audience.
The presentation of the Polish-language book “Fourth Generation Wars - NATO Context and the South Caucasus” by Vakhtang Maisaya, Professor of Caucasus International University, Doctor of Political Sciences, was held within the framework of the day.
Three sections worked at the scientific conference - Political Security, Military Security and International Security Section (current political conflicts); Information Security and Cyber Security Section; Economic Security and Scientific-Technical Security Section. Each section was chaired by a committee of industry experts and academic staff.
About 60 students from various faculties and level of studies at Caucasus International University participated in the conference.
