On March 13, a public lecture/discussion on “Foreign-Political Priorities of Georgia in the Second Half of the 18th Century” was organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences of Caucasus International University and the Security Research Association (USMA).
The lecture was led by Vakhtang Guruli, Doctor of History, Professor, and Ketevan Shoshiashvili, Doctor of History, CIU Associate Professor.
The speakers reviewed the work of Erekle II, the Treaty of Georgievsk and the geopolitical situation of the region at that time, and the second part of the lecture was held in the question-answer and discussion mode.
The public lecture was moderated by Besik Oboladze, Security Analyst, Chairman of the Security Research Association and Associate Professor Alika Guchua, Doctor of Political Science, Head of CIU Undergraduate Program in International Relations.
Nana Amiranashvili, Dean of CIU Faculty of Social Sciences, welcomed the guests at the lecture.
Students, administrative and academic staff of the university attended the public lecture.
