A public lecture on the topic: The Main Dimension of Cyber Security and the Digital Characteristics of Military Conflict was held at Caucasus International University on May 4. The lecture was delivered by Alika Guchu, Doctor of Political Science, Head of CIU Undergraduate Program in International Relations, Associate Professor and Tornike Zedelashvili, Doctor of Political Science, Specialist of the Information Security Department of the Ministry of Justice, Founder of the online publication “Leader”.
Within the framework of the lecture, the speakers discussed issues such as: Cyber war and its basic methods; Cyberspace, cybersecurity and cybercrime; Different types of cyber-attacks; International statistics; Common viruses; Types of hackers; Cyber hygiene; Means of defense against cyber-attacks; Effective antiviruses; Cyberattacks during the 2008 Russia-Georgia war and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war; NATO Cybersecurity Areas and other significant issues related to the cyberspace.
The final part of the meeting continued with a question-and-answer session, where the listeners had the opportunity to get answers to the questions that were of interest to them from the speakers.
The public lecture was attended by CIU students and representatives of the administrative staff.
