A public lecture on the topic: “China’s Initiative – “One Belt, One Road” - Geopolitical and Strategic Realization Process” was organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences at Caucasus International University on May 30.
The lecture was delivered by Asan Bazargal, a representative of the Academy of Public Administration, Institute of Diplomacy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Within the framework of the lecture, the speaker reviewed China’s initiative “One Belt, One Road”, placed emphasis on the importance of the mentioned project and at the same time, on the goal of the Chinese government to develop economic relations with various states, as well as to strengthen its trade policy in the world. The speaker asked the students questions to practice and offered to analyze the new Chinese investment model. In addition, he provided reasons why some national governments have agreed to accept financial aid from China. The second part of the lecture took place in the mode of question-answer and active discussion.
The public lecture was opened by the head of CIU Postgraduate Program in International Relations and International Security, Professor Vakhtang Maisaia, and the head of CIU Undergraduate Program in International Relations, Associate Professor Alika Guchua took an active part in the lecture.
Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Nana Amiranashvili, administration representatives and students attended the lecture.
