Education Competition – Way of Georgian Wine

Education Competition - The Way of Georgian Wine (hereafter referred to as Competition) is a copyright project implemented on the base of Caucasus International University.

The aim of the competition:

The contestant should present the information in accordance with Georgian regions in his/her work, concerning the vine species and wine types spread in the region, the development of winemaking technologies from the ancient times till present; in addition, he/she should narrate a story about new vine and wine from his/her standpoint.

and ^thThe competition is open for 11^th grade students of any public and private school in Georgia.

The competition will be held in three stages:

I stage – registration, submitting papers – from March 15, 2019 till April 10, 2019;

II stage – selecting papers and notifying the participants – April 15, 2019;

III stage – award ceremony - April 20, 2019.

• The applicants should send the application form and the competition material to the following e-mail address: qartuligvinisgza@ciu.edu.ge
• Information about a contestant and a supervisor (applicant’s name/surname, city/village, school, class, telephone number, supervisor’s name, and surname, telephone number, paper title) should be indicated in the application form; committee will decline the incomplete application forms and works of the primary and secondary level student;
• There are no special conditions for the creation of works. It is advisable the work to contain a photo or video materials (not exceeding 10 minutes). It may be presented as both written and video material (can be shot by any device, including mobile phones);

The works will be evaluated by a special committee with a 20-point scale system. Evaluation criteria:

• Content of the selected topic, its significance – 6 points;
• Analytical vision and research skills – 4 points;
• Creativity – 4 points;
• Structure of the work (brevity, compliance) – 3 points;
• The originality of video materials and photo materials – 3 points.
