The Office of the Minister of Justice and Civil Integration Issues of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia organized an international conference entitled “The Legal Status of Persons Living Legally in Occupied Abkhazia” on May 24.
The event was opened by the Minister of Justice and Civil Integration Issues of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Nana Gabelia. The Chair of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Ruslan Abashidze, delivered a speech at the conference. The conference was attended by Kakhaber Kordzaia, Caucasus International University Rector and George Khatidze, Dean of the Faculty of Law at CIU. The conference was attended by Alexandre Rusetski, Associate Professor, Head of the Laboratory of Geopolitical Modeling at Caucasus International University, who delivered a speech on the topic: “Political Rights in Occupied Abkhazia”.
The conference was attended by members of the Abkhazian government, representatives of the diplomatic corps, state agencies and international organizations, as well as academic community.
