The educational-cognitive quiz “Know the World” was organized by the initiative of the Caucasus International University Faculty of Business on December 20. Tbilisi Public Schools #18, #69, #150, #158, #159, #192 and private school Polyglot (5 pupils from each school) participated.
The main assignment for the quiz was prepared by Erekle Ugrelidze, an invited professor of the Faculty of Business. Additional questions were prepared by CIU Student Self-Governance supervised by Dimitri Khubulava. The host of the quiz was Bakur Khubulava, President of CIU Intellect Club.
The quiz included 12-12 questions from the history and geography of Georgia within the framework of the school program. During the two stages of general knowledge, participants were asked visual questions in order to identify heraldic symbols and cultural sites around the world.
Summing up the results of all four stages, the public school # 69 and the private school Polyglot were promoted with equal 27-27 points. Additional questions were asked to identify the winner, where the team of Public School # 69 won: Nino Lomidze (team captain), Mariam Chabukiani, Ketevan Chorgoliani, Mariam Bakradze and Luka Natsauri.
All the participants were awarded certificates of participation and winning. In addition, the winners received university souvenirs.
The results were summarized by a competent committee: Jemal Sologhashvili, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business, Professor (Chairperson), Erekle Ugrelidze, Invited Professor, Lali Mikeladze, Supervisor of Undergraduate Program in Tourism, and Tea Lazarashvili, Supervisor of Undergraduate Program in Finances.
