A professional tour was organized for Tourism Undergraduate Program freshmen at Old Tbilisi within the framework of the academic course “Tourism Basics” on September 30, 2019. The event was organized by Lali Mikeldaez, head of Tourism Laboratory, CIU Associate Professor.
The tour included visiting historical-cultural sights – Porakishvili Hall, Transfiguration Monastery, Queen Darejan Palace, Narikala Fortress, Sioni Cathedral, Anchiskhati Basilica of St. Mary, Church of Virgin Mary of Metekhi.
The students described the problems of accommodation, catering, the entertainment industry and tourism service in Old Tbilisi. They were also given the opportunity to participate in entertaining events planned within the framework of night economic development.
