Irakli Gharibashvili, Executive Director of Georgian Integrated Library Information System Consortium (GILISC) 2017 met the university management and administration at CIU Conference Hall. He made presentation on the possibilities of plagiarism detection electronic program URKUND and specificity of its use. The presenter placed emphasis on technical details of the program and the way it works. The second part of the meeting was held in the form of question-responses.
It is worth mentioning, that as the result of the agreement signed between CIU and Network Consortium on May 2, 2018 CIU educational programs have intensely been using URKUND program. At the first stage, the scientific papers prepared within the framework of MA and PhD programs are checked against plagiarism.
The purpose for the introduction of antiplagiarism electronic program is to enable the university to create transparent and fair mechanisms for the discovery of plagiarism and later reaction on it.
