Fifth international scientific conference dedicated to Political, Economic and Cultural Relations of Georgia-Iran was held at Caucasus International University on October 29, 2020.
The aim of the conference was to promote the development of a unified academic environment between Georgian and Iranian universities, to stimulate scientific activities and to develop productive professional relations.
The conference was attended by representatives of about 30 research organizations and academic institutions, who presented papers in various thematic sections: politics and security; economics; culture and history. The conference was opened by Kakhaber Kordzaia, Caucasus International University Rector. The participants were also welcomed by Rasul Islam, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Georgia, and Hamid Mostafavi, the Cultural Adviser of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Georgia.
The event was moderated by Maia Kapanadze, Doctor of History, Head of the Scientific-Analytical Center for Georgia-Iran Relations at Caucasus International University.
