Sophomores of the Faculty of Viticulture and Wine had out of campus lectures and a professional tour within the framework of the course Wine Tourism (Lecturer - Lali Mikeladze) on November 12th. The lecture was conducted by CIU Associate Professor Lali Mikeladze in one of the landmarks of Tbilisi, in Avlabari district, in the old Georgian folk house - Porakishvili Hall (XIX century). Later, undergraduate students were offered a professional tour in the hotel Penthouse wine cellar. Maiko Mamamtavrishvili, the chief manager introduced the students to the active phase of wine tourism development in Georgia, typology, and interests of tourists involved in this field, and eventually, the meeting ended with wine tasting.
A professional tour was also held in Abanotubani, Old Tbilisi – Chreli Abano Bath and Spa, where the general manager N. Samchkuashvili introduced the wine spa, procedures and relaxation mean based on grapes to students. The introduction of the latter has increased the number of customers and their satisfaction level.
Lali Mikeladze and undergraduate students visited historical-cultural monuments of Old Tbilisi towards the end of the tour.
