On April 30, Caucasus International University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Georgian Civil Defense League.
The partnership aims at enhancing the practical components of the bachelor’s and master’s programs offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Caucasus International University and developing students’ professional skills.
The memorandum was officially signed by Kakhaber Kordzaia, Rector of Caucasus International University and Simon Kopadze, Chair of the Georgian Civil Defense League.
Within the framework of the event, students of Caucasus International University were awarded certificates for completing the educational-practical course “Foundations of Civil Defense”. The course was jointly organized and implemented by the Georgian Civil Defense League and the Veterans’ Union of the Special State Protection Service (SSPS) of Georgia.
The certificates were presented to the students by Simon Kopadze, Chair of the Georgian Civil Defense League and Zaal Sarajishvili, Executive Secretary of the SSPS Veterans’ Union.
Within the framework of the event, Caucasus International University was awarded a certificate confirming its status as an Associate Member of the Georgian Civil Defense League. In addition, Professor Vakhtang Maisaia, Head of the Master’s Educational Programs in International Relations and International Security / Global Politics and Security Studies at the university, was presented with an Honorary Membership Certificate by the Academy of International Relations and Political Science of Georgia.
It is noteworthy that Caucasus International University is the first higher education institution in Georgia to introduce a “Civil Defense Training Course” and corresponding practicum as part of its master’s programs.
