Memorandum of Understanding bas been signed between Caucasus International University and Valahia University of Targoviste (Romania).
The meeting was attended by: Laura Monica Gorghiu, Rector of Valahia University of Targoviste and Gabriela Teodorescu, Vice-Rector and Kakhaber Kordzaia, CIU Rector, Giorgi Abashishvili, Advisor to Chancellor, Tamar Laghidze, Deputy Head of International Relations Department and Svetlana Kirakosyan, International Relations Department Coordinator on behalf of CIU.
The signed memorandum envisages: Erasmus + program development and cooperation; Development of research projects and sharing results; Joint research and training programs; Joint conferences and publications; Exchange programs for students and academic staff, etc.
It is noteworthy that Gabriela Teodorescu is a well-known and successful oenologist in Romania and she will give lectures at CIU Faculty of Viticulture and Winemaking in the near future.
It is significant that Gabriela Teodorescu has established a consortium at Valahia University of Targoviste which includes the universities of Romania, Italy, Spain and France. Caucasus International University will join them as a representative of Georgia in the near future; It will be involved in the consortium’s international studies and projects in the field of viticulture and winemaking.
