The forum – Eastern Partnership and Visegrad Countries Against Disinformation was held at Hotel Radisson Blu Iveria on February 13, 2019. The event referred to security issues in the era of information technologies; in addition, they highlighted the effective methods against disinformation and discussed current challenges facing modern media.
Caucasus International University representatives, Mr. Alexandre Rusetski, Ms. Olga Dorohina and Ms. Maya Urushadze participated in the forum organized by Civil Development and Research Center (CDRI) and Georgian-European Institute. (A. Rusetski – Head of the Laboratory for Caucasus Geopolitical Modelling; PhD student of CIU Doctoral Program in Political Science; O. Dorohina – Deputy Head of the Laboratory for Caucasus Geopolitical Modelling; M. Urushadze, PhD student of CIU Doctoral Program in Political Science).
It is noteworthy that CIU representatives established scientific contacts with the leading research centers of Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Moldovia and Poland within the framework of the forum:

Bratislava Institute for Political Studies/Center for European and Euro-Atlantic Studies (Slovakia);
Research Center for European Values (Czech Republic);
The Prague Security Studies Institute (Czech Republic)’
Institute for Public Policy (Moldova);
Global Laboratory (Poland).
In addition, relationships have been established and developed with the research-analytical centers of Georgia. International conference - OSCE Region: Information-Psychological Threats and Weaknesses of Security Policy is planned in partnership with Caucasus Institute of Regional Security in the near future at the Laboratory of Caucasus Geopolitical Modelling.
