Ms. Irma Makharashvili, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Ms. Lali Mikeladze, supervisor of the Program in Tourism and Prof. Eka Devidze, founder of non-governmental organization Tourism and Reality met the freshmen of Undergraduate Program in Tourism within the framework of the project Revive Tradition organized within the frame of the memorandum signed with Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation. The event was held on November 26, 2018 at 14:00.
During the meeting Ms. Lali Mikeladze and Ms. Eka Devidze introduced to students the activities planned within the framework of the memorandum signed with Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation. It consisted of several components: Firstly, they discussed the so-called Italian Yards of Old Tbilisi. It is noteworthy that such yards do not exist in Italy; however, they are organic part of Tbilisi urban life and became tradition of the city.
Village Verona located in Kakheti municipality, Georgia was named as the second component. It was visited by the students within the framework of the project and they became familiar with all the legends and stories which are related to the village and its name.
As for the third activity implemented within the framework of the project, it is represented as a small, informal conference. The conference is open to any interested individual and young person.
The revival of the so-called Italian Yard and the organization of exhibitions and festivals there were named as the fourth concluding component by the speakers.
Ms. Lali Mikeladze and Ms. Eka Devidze will work on the content and organizational issues of the project in small working groups with students. We would like to remind you that the students of the European University are also involved in the project together with CIU students.
