Georgian Wine Festival 2019 was held on Shardenion October 12, 2019. Caucasus International University was its main sponsor. Big companies as well as small wine cellars and startups participated in the festival, which was organized for the third time by Palitra Media, Mediaportal allwine.ge and Meidan Group.
Caucasus International University presented student-made wines on its stand at the festival. The wines - Saperavi; Pink Saperavi; Rkatsiteli; Qvevri Rkatsiteli; Tavkveri; Tsitska Tsolikouri; Cabernet Sauvignon; Wild Vine received great approval from Georgian and foreign guests.
Kakhaber Kordzaia, Caucasus International University Rector delivered a speech at the festival. He placed emphasis on the significance of the festival and the faculty of viticulture-winemaking which is one of the priorities of the university.
A masterclass on Wine and Its Tasting was also conducted by Shengeli Kikilashvili, a graduate of CIU Postgraduate Program in Georgian Viticulture-Winemaking and senior scientific staff of the faculty within the framework of the festival.
Caucasian International University ensemble led by Bezhan Tsintsalashvili, made three musical performances for the audience towards the end of the event.
