Intellect Club Closed Autumn Season

Caucasus International University Intellect club closed the season with the sports championship of “What? Where? When?” on December 26!

During the season, the intellect club held more than 30 events for both Georgian and international students.

In the final round, the winning teams and thinkers of the season were announced:

• Discovery teams of the year: “Rapid Turtles” - captain Mariam Beridze, “Atlas” - captain Tinatin Tsutskiridze, “Nabu” - captain Lizi Samkharadze, “Metamorphosis” - captain Nuri Aslanikashvili;
• The title of the best faculty: Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities / Faculty of Medicine;
• The most developing team: “Caduceus” - captain Nika Akhalashvili;
• The best captain of the season - Lile Kurasbediani;
• The best player of the season - Giorgi Lomuashvili;

At the beginning of the round, the intellect club thanked the team “Record Master” composed of CIU students for the victory in the sports intellectual game – “12th Player”.

“What? Where? When?” championship consisted of 4 rounds and 10 out of 23 teams made it to the final stage. In the final, the teams answered 36 questions, which included: Blitz, Superblitz, Black Box, “What? Where? When?”, classic questions and the guest round. The guest was Nukri Gogishvili, member of the intellect club of Georgia, economist, thinker, who symbolically asked one question to the teams.

The fourth final round was won by “Citizens Union” with 19 points, and Aurora and Myth of Sisyphus shared the second and third place with 16-16 points. After four rounds of the championship, the three prize winners were revealed:

• First place – “The Myth of Sisyphus” - Captain Giorgi Lomuashvili. Team members: Nano Gelantia, Megi Jomidava, Dachi Danelia, Maka Basiladze, Nodo Kopadze;
• Second place – “Citizens Union” - Captain Lasha Svintradze. Team members: Keta Bidzinashvili, Shalva Davladze, Andria Manya, Veriko Letodiani, Nana Mikava, Natia Basaria.
• Third place “Acoma” - captain Lile Kurasbediani. Team members: Anuka Darsalia, Tamar Okujava, Levan Lashkhia, Koke Lagvilava, Luka Gabidzashvili.

The winning teams and players were awarded with certificates, books, cups, medals, owls, New Year’s concert tickets and cash prizes from the intellect club and the university.
