iTop (individually trained oral prophylaxis) training – “Individual Oral Hygiene” - was held at Caucasus International University with the support of Georgian Association of Periodontology and the company Curaden, which was attended by students of the Dentistry program offered in English on May 24.
The training was conducted by Ani Tavartkiladze, the Vice-President of Georgian Association of Periodontology, the official trainer of iTop in Georgia.
iTop is implemented within the framework of the memorandum signed between the company Curaden” and Caucasus International University and its purpose is to offer theoretical and practical trainings to the students of the dentistry program. This approach will increase their knowledge and experience in the prevention of oral diseases and will allow them to use the acquired knowledge in practice for teaching oral hygiene to the patient and raising the motivation of oral care. Similar methods will help them to properly manage tooth decay and periodontal diseases in the future.
Students received oral care products as a gift from the company “Curaden”.
