The contest is announced from August 4, 2018. Applicants who are interested in the academic positions must submit the following documents to the committee from September 5 to 7, 2018:
- Application addressed to the committee. Appropriate specialty and academic position should be indicated (is filled-in on the spot);
- Autobiography (CV);
- A copy of ID;
- A photo;
- Notarized copies of every educational document verifying qualification;
- Educational document obtained abroad must be accompanies by a document of recognition;
- Document/s verifying scientific-pedagogic experience;
- Document/s certifying professional experience;
- List of scientific publications during the last five years;
- Copies of documents certifying participation in international and local conferences, certificate courses or trainings (under equal conditions, advantage will be given to contestants with more international conferences);
- Copies of documents verifying scientific scholarships and grants if applicable;
The following documents are required for the academic position of Professor:
- Academic degree of Doctor (PhD) or its equivalent academic degree;
- At least 6 years teaching and scientific experience at higher educational institution;
- Author/coauthor of scientific papers published during the last 5 years (under equal conditions, a candidate with more international publications will be given advantage);
- A document verifying fundamental researches in the field, preparation of new scientific-academic personnel and supervision of PhD students;
- Concept (description) of the educational program, the applicant is willing to participate and implement;
- Vision of the study course that the contestant is planning to teach after taking the academic position;
- Practical experience of working on educational program and syllabus.
The following documents are required for the academic position of Associate Professor:
- Academic degree of Doctor (PhD) or its equivalent academic degree;
- At least 3 years teaching and scientific experience at higher educational institution;
- Author/coauthor of scientific papers published during the last 5 years (under equal conditions, a candidate with more international publications will be given advantage);
- A document verifying fundamental researches in the field, preparation of new scientific-academic personnel and supervision of PhD students;
- Vision of the study course that the contestant is planning to teach after taking the academic position;
- Practical experience of working on educational program and syllabus.
The following documents are required for the academic position of Assistant Professor:
- Academic degree of Doctor (PhD) or its equivalent academic degree. Under equal conditions, a candidate with scientific-pedagogical experience will be given advantage;
- Author/coauthor of scientific papers published during the last 5 years (under equal conditions, a candidate with more international publications will be given advantage);
- Vision of the study course that the contestant is planning to teach after taking the academic position;
The following are required in order to verify professional qualification:
- Professional experience in the field, which can be verified by at least 5-year practical experience in the appropriate field (under equal conditions, a candidate who is a PhD student of relevant Doctoral Program and has scientific pedagogical experience will be given advantage);
- Author/coauthor of scientific papers published during the last 5 years (under equal conditions, a candidate with more international publications will be given advantage).
The contest will be held in two stages:
- Selection of candidates according to the submitted documents (Short-listing candidates);
- Interview/demonstrating lectures of shortlisted candidates with a committee (if necessary).
Contest Conditions:
The competition will be held in accordance to Caucasus International University “Rule for Occupying Academic Positions”, which is available on the university website.
Contest application and appropriate documents must be submitted before the deadline expires;
In order to define the relevance of applications with the main criteria, documents will be evaluated by the committee;
The first stage of the competition will be held on September 7, 2018;
The second stage of the competition (if necessary) will be held on September 8, 2018;
The results will be announced on September 8, 2018;
