Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia organized virtual scientific fair within the framework of the project “Science is Captain” on November 27, 2020. The research institutes of the higher educational institutions showed videos at the science fair that depicted the current research activities.

“Science is Captain” is the winner project of the competition of EU Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Framework Program - Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions. Its name is inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s famous phrase – “Science is the captain, and practice is his soldiers.”
It should be noted that with the project “Science is Captain” Georgia joined the international celebration of “European Researchers’ Night” for the first time in 2020.
The project aims to celebrate European Scholars’ Night on a large scale, to popularize science in the wider community, to engage young people in research, to highlight the diversity of research, and to emphasize the connection between science and everyday life.
Please note that European Researchers’ Night is a joint European festival of science and innovation, held in EU cities and hundreds of the associated countries of the Horizon 2020 program since 2005.
