Objectively Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) format for final exams has been successfully introduced at Caucasus International University since 2018.
The foreign students of the Faculty of Medicine passed the final exam in the discipline - Propedeutics of internal Diseases and Methods of Physical Research in OSCE format at CIU Center of Clinical Skills. The exam has been taken by 14 students in two stages: in clinical stations and exam rooms. It is noteworthy that the number of exam stations (eight stations) has doubled this year.
The examination was attended by Ms. Lali Mekokishvili, Dean of CIU Faculty of Medicine.
We would like to remind you that Objectively Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) represents a new method to assess knowledge and skills and is acknowledged by World Federation for Medical Education and World Health Organization as one of the main standards of medical education.
This method is used to evaluate students’ clinical skills and formed clinical competencies.
