CIU forging a relationship with the University of Gloucestershire( UK ) to deliver British education in the Caucasus region for affordable UK education at CIU campus in Tbilisi
CIU is proud of the new establishment to support the student community
On the 5th of December 2019, CIU hosted a delegation of senior academics from the University of Gloucestershire in the UK, led by Dr. Mathew Andrew (University Secretary and Registrar), Alison Conrad (Senior Lecturer) Dominic Stone (Head of Academic Partnership Services) and Debbie Jones (Academic Partnership Supervisor)
A special invitation was extended to the University of Gloucestershire by Dr. Kakhaber Kordzaia Rector of CIU, Doctor of Mathematical Sciences, Professor. Gloucestershire’s delegates' visit included a tour of the campus and facilities including the library and media studios.
The delegation visited CIU with the purpose of promoting mutual education exchange between two institutions, in particular, cooperation on the undergraduate degree program. A Memorandum of understanding was made between both universities. Both parties are keen to establish a long term collaborative partnership and agreed to formalize this commitment through the signing of a contract.
The Memorandum of Understanding between both Universities was the result of over one year’s work of BTEC Management Consultancy team ( Dr. Asha Peter, Mr. Herman Roark based in the United Arab Emirates )
This agreement is the first of its kind in the Caucasus region and CIU is delighted it’s with the University of Gloucestershire in the UK
There is unlimited potential for both Universities and BTEC with more students benefiting from their academic life at Caucasus International University
