The fourth day of the summer school - “Peace Policy and Trust Restoration with the Occupied Regions” organized by Caucasus International University was opened with a lecture on the topic: “State Policy for Reconciliation - a Step Forward to a Better Future”.
The lecture was led by Tamar Kochoradze, Head of the Policy Analysis, Planning and International Relations Department of the Office of the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality.
The speaker reviewed in detail the priorities of the peace initiative “A step forward to a better future” and the main aspects of its implementation, and in the second part of the meeting she answered the audience’s questions.
The second lecture of the day was delivered by writer Guram Odiasharia on the topic: “Rebuilding Trust with the Occupied Territories - Ways of Cultural Dialogue”.
The exiled writer from Abkhazia spoke about the years she spent there, the relations between people and the prospects of restoring trust with each other.
The day ended with the screening of Nana Janelidze’s new feature film – “Lisa, Go On”.
The main character of the mentioned film is a female journalist who worked as a reporter during the war in Abkhazia 25 years ago.
The screening of the film was attended by the participants of the summer school, the university administration, professors of various universities and interested persons.
