CIU team played against Akaki Tsereteli State University team at the Basketball Championship organized by University Sports Federation.
The above mentioned game was the last meeting of the group stage, where the teams moving in the semifinal should be identified.
The meeting turned out to be quite tensed. Both teams showed equal results in terms of ball possession and scores and the main part of the game ended with draw.
In order to find out the name of the team that moved to the semifinal, the additional time was set.
Eventually, Caucasus International University won with the score 86:84, as a result the team was granted the right to play at the semifinal.
The nearest semifinal game will be held on June 29.
