Professor Babak Khalili Hadad delivered lectures on “Biochemistry of Neuromuscular and Nervous Tissues” and “Biochemical Changes in the Connective Tissue during Aging and Pathologies” for CIU international students of the Faculty of Medicine within the framework of the academic course – “Medical Biochemistry”.
Within the framework of the first lecture, the professor examined the biochemical mechanisms of synaptic transmission, the proteins involved, their structure and importance in the process of releasing neurotransmitters. The second lecture placed emphasis on biogenesis and functions of connective tissue protein components and age-related changes.
