A semi-final match was held at Universiada Super League organized by University Sports Federation. CIU Futsal team played against St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University Of the Patriarchate of Georgia team.
The game was played with transitional advantages and the main times ended with draw 1: 1.
A series of penalties were imposed in order to reveal a winner of the meeting. Davit kharazi, CIU Futsal team member managed to score a decisive goal. Levan Alibegashvili, a goalkeeper should also be mentioned for his good play.
The game finally ended with the score 3-2, with the advantage of CIU team. CIU granted the right to play at the final of Universiada Championship and they will oppose TSU. The final match will be held on June 25.
We would like to remind you that the teams of 14 educational institutions involved in the Universiada were divided into 7-7 teams at the group stage. Two teams, including CIU team, were granted the right to play in the final.
