Five students of the Faculty of Medicine at Caucasus International University (Tamar Paghava, Nutsa Basiashvili, Mariam Jalaghonia, Marekhi Saldadze, Lika Gogonadze) presented at the 7th Student Medical-Scientific Conference held at the Faculty of Medicine of Akaki Tsereteli State University.
Both Georgian and English sessions of clinical and theoretical medicine were offered at the conference. CIU students, under the supervision of CIU Invited Lecturer – Maya Svanadze, made presentations at the Theoretical Medicine session on the following topics: Hearing Loss and Its Social Aspects, Identifying Bleeding and First Aid, Exposure of Radioactive Contamination in Georgia.
In the concluding part of the conference, two winners in the Theoretical Medicine, Georgian section were revealed by the decision of the competent jury: Tamar Paghava, second-year students of CIU Faculty of Medicine with the presentation – Identifying Bleeding and First Aid, Nino Lomsianidze and Nino Asatiani, Akaki Tsereteli State University students with the presentation - Hemophilia and its Biochemical Basis.
