Professor (Emeritus) at University of Westminster, an expert in the field of modern medical education, CIU Affiliated Professor– Peter Lydyard conducted an intensive course of lectures in immunology for Faculty of Medicine students at Caucasus International University on 21-25 May.
Professor Lydyard reviewed in detail the issues of fundamental immunology within the framework of the intensive course.
Besides the intensive course, Professor conducted training on the topic: Problem Based Learning in Medical Education (PBL) for professors of basic and clinical subjects within the framework of the visit. The above mentioned method envisages students’ active involvement in the teaching process and facilitates the development of studying, conclusion and communication skills.
Professor placed emphasis on the significance of problem based learning in the development of teaching process and discussed in details the stages and ways for the introduction of the above mentioned method at the faculty as well as human and material-technical resources.
We would like to remind you that trainings and working meetings with Georgian and international experts are systematically held at the Faculty of Medicine in order to introduce modern teaching methods and technologies.
