The outdoor lecture envisaged by the course curriculum offered by Ketevan Shoshiashvili, CIU Affiliated Professor was conducted for freshmen and sophomores of the faculty of Medicine at Tbilisi Ethnographic museum within the framework of the elective course – Life and Culture of the Caucasian People.
The lecture was attended by about 30 students. The aim of the lecture was to raise awareness and familiarize students with national consciousness and culture.
We would like to remind you that Ethnographic Museum was established by the initiative and supervision of Giorgi Chitaia, Academician and founder of Georgian Ethnographic School in 1966. It is the first ethnographic museum in the Caucasus, which is called the State Museum of Georgian Architecture and Living.
The Ethnographic Museum represents a miniature model of Georgia and reflects its diverse ethno-culture. The museum represents about 70 residences and agricultural building from Georgian regions: Kartli, Kakheti, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Imereti, Guria, Samegrelo, Adjara, Abkhazia, Racha-Lechkhumi and Svaneti.
