CIU Clinical Skills Centre “Tbilisi Blood Transfusion Station” organized volunteer blood donation campaign on 14 May. CIU students from various faculties and the representatives of administration participated in the initiative. Before blood transfusion, the volunteers of blood donation campaign were tested on blood type, rhesus factor and hemoglobin.
As stated by the representatives of Tbilisi Blood Transfusion Station, donated blood will be tested for HIV infection/AIDS, B and C hepatitis and syphilis in the near future and the participants of the campaign will receive results anonymously.
It is worth mentioning that CIU permanently volunteers blood donation campaign.
