Training in Agri-Media Tour and Agri-Journalism was held by the support of Swiss Agency for Development and Collaboration Mercy Corps Alliances Caucasus Program on 25-29 April. The event was organized by Caucasus International University, Journalism Resource Centre, Alliance of Broadcasters and Media Initiatives Centre of Armenia.
The participants visited different regions of Georgia within the framework of media tour on 25-26 April. The concluding part of the project was hosted by Caucasus International University on 27-29 April.
Informational tour and training in Agri Journalism was conducted on the base of CIU faculty of Viticulture-Winemaking on 27 April. Vakkhtang Tsivtsivadze, CIU Chancellor met project participants and organizers and showed them wine cellar “Kolkhi”. The participants of the project also conducted a symbolic signing ceremony of the agreement “Neighborhood Agro Guild”.
CIU Multimedia Centre hosted the participants of the Media Tour on 28 and 29 April. Heather Rose Briggs, British Agro Journalist also became engaged in teaching “Neighborhood Agro Guild” together with local experts.
“Neighborhood Agro Guild” aims at uniting people from Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Moldova, who work in different sectors in agriculture development in their countries.
The aim of the project is to create a common informational space for coordination, advocacy and communication for the development and cooperation of the sector.
