Professor Emeritus (academic title, which is awarded to a scholar or public figure for special merit) at University of Westminster, a famous immunologist and an expert in the field of modern medical education, as well as Affiliated Professor at Caucasus International University – Peter Lydyard is actively engaged in the teaching process of CIU Faculty of Medicine.
Peter Lydyard met CIU Chancellor, Vakhtang Tsivtsivadze, Lali Mekokishvili, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and students within the framework of the visit. Professor gave to the university library a book published by his authorship.
Professor also participated in the discussions of updated syllabi. With his initiative and the involvement of the department of Information Technologies of the university, system of online lectures, educational audio files and distance consultations for students will be launched at the faculty of Medicine.
Professor Peter Lydyard will deliver lecture-seminars, PBL sessions and training in modern technologies for teaching medicine to academic personnel at the Faculty of Medicine in May as the result of the agreement with Nino Amaghlobeli, Supervisor of Immunology Academic Discipline of the faculty of Medicine and faculty administration.
The above mentioned activities will significantly facilitate the development of modern teaching standards at the Faculty of Medicine and internationalization of the academic programs.
