CIU Football Team Moved to Quarter-Final of Super League and Continues Struggle for the Title of the best!
The concluding ninth round of the regular championship of Super League was held at Tbilisi Olympic Palace, where CIU football players played against University of Georgia team.
CIU advanced from the very beginning and the match was distinguished by ample goals. Nikoloz Gorduladze scored goal at the fourth minute, Davit Kharadze – at seventh and fifteenth minutes and Giorgi Tsertsvadze – at the tenth minute. After four unsuccessful goals, the opponent managed to score the first goal, but the University players did not give chance to opponent and Irakli Jankhoteli, Zurab Pichkhadze and Tevdor Makashvili scored a goal each.
Before the end of the meeting, the score was 7: 5 in favor of the CIU. However, in the last minute, the player of the opposing team scored one auto goal, after which the difference increased further and the final score was 8: 5.
CIU forward Zurab Pichkhadze was named as the best player of the meeting.
