Mariam Khatchvani’s film “Dede” portrays the life of a girl from Svaneti who is struggling for love.
Giorgi Babluani, Natia Vibliani, Girshel Chelidze and Nukri Khatchvani are starring in the film.
Caucasus International University graduate Irakli Charkviani and a student Levan Charkviani played episodic roles in the film.
Levan Charkviani plays the role of Nestor, Gegi’s (Nukri Khatchvani) brother.
The premiere of the film was held on 22 February in Cinema "Amirani", and the international premiere was held at Karlovy Vary Film Festival, where it received a jury prize.
It is worth mentioning that the official presentation of “Dede” for UNESCO director and ambassadors was held at UNESCO headquarter.
