The contest is announced from 24 February, 2018.

Applicants who are interested in the academic positions must submit the following documents to the committee from 26 March to 30 March, 2018:

1. Application addressed to the committee. Appropriate specialty and academic position must be indicated (must be filled-in on the spot);
2. Autobiography (CV);
3. A copy of ID;
4. A photo;
5. Notarized copies of every educational document verifying qualification;
6. Document/s verifying scientific-pedagogic experience;
7. Document/s certifying professional experience;
8. List of scientific publications during the last ten years;
9. Copies of documents certifying participation in international and local conferences, certificate courses or trainings (under equal conditions, advantage will be given to contestants with more international conferences);
10. Copies of documents verifying scientific scholarships and grants if applicable;   
11. A candidate participating in the healthcare field will be required to present English language certificate B2 level. In addition, a contestant’s English language competence on B2 level can be verified by the experience of delivering the English language courses/engagement in international projects/participation in international scientific conferences. Otherwise, the contestant is required to present the following in English for the Competition Commission:

Make a presentation on the desired lecture topic.

The following documents are required for the academic position of Professor:

Academic degree of Doctor (PhD) or its equivalent academic degree;

At least 6 years teaching and scientific experience at higher educational institution; 

Author/coauthor of scientific papers published during the last 10 years (under equal conditions, a candidate with more international publications will be given advantage);

Concept (description) of the educational program, the applicant is willing to participate and implement;

Vision of the study course that the contestant is planning to teach after taking the academic position;

Practical experience of working on educational program and syllabus.

The following documents are required for the academic position of Associate Professor:

Academic degree of Doctor (PhD) or its equivalent academic degree;

At least 3 years teaching and scientific experience at higher educational institution; 

Author/coauthor of scientific papers published during the last 10 years (under equal conditions, a candidate with more international publications will be given advantage);

Vision of the study course that the contestant is planning to teach after taking the academic position;

Practical experience of working on educational program and syllabus.

The following documents are required for the academic position of Assistant Professor:

Academic degree of Doctor (PhD) or its equivalent academic degree (under equal conditions, a candidate with scientific-pedagogical experience will be given advantage);

Author/coauthor of scientific papers published during the last 10 years (under equal conditions, a candidate with more international publications will be given advantage);

Vision of the study course that the contestant is planning to teach after taking the academic position.

The requirements for the Academic Position of Assistant:

An applicant must be a doctoral student of the educational program within the frame of which s/he desires to occupy the academic position.

To prove professional qualification:

Professional experience in the field, proved by at least 5-year practical experience. Under equal conditions, advantage will be given to the contestant who is PhD student in relevant field / doctoral program and has scientific-pedagogic experience. 

The contest will be held in two stages:

1. Selection of candidates according to the submitted documents (Short-listing candidates);
2. Interview of shortlisted candidates with a committee (if necessary).

Contest Conditions:

Contest application and appropriate documents must be submitted before the deadline expires;

Educational documents of a foreign country must be accompanied by a document approving their validity in accordance to Georgian legislation;

In order to define the relevance of applications with the main criteria, documents will be evaluated by the committee.

The first stage of the contest will be held on 31 March, 2018;

The second stage of the contest (if necessary) will be held on 2 April, 2018;

The results will be announced on 2 April, 2018;
