Qualification Tournament is held on 9 -18 December in order to determine the participants of League A for 2017-2018. Caucasus International University basketball team participate in it together with “Tbilisi”, “Razmi” and Zaza Pachulia’s Academy”.
CIU team played against Club “Tbilisi” on 9 December. The advantage was transitional during the first half of the game, however CIU basketball team soon managed to take the advantage. Eventually, CIU team won in all quarters.
Ryan Aaron, an American player showed the best result – 17 points among Caucasus International University team players. Consequently, Gigi Meladze scored 15 points and Nika Ghaghanidze 12 points.
The final score of the first meeting of the qualifying round was 91:56 with the advantage of CIU.
