Institute for United States and Canada Studies founded on the basis of Caucasus International University is pleased to announce a photo competition for professional and amateur photographers.
Description of the concept
Terrorism is a threat that the world tries to oppose. The terrorist attack which took place in the United States on 11 September, 2001 should be distinguished among the numerous tragedies that happened in the whole world.
The world remembers separate details of the horrific terrorist operation every year, commemorates about three thousand people who died there, tries to understand what forced the attackers to implement the bloodiest, most ruthless terrorist attack in human history.
The Institute for the United States and Canada Studies has decided to dedicate a cycle of activities to the tragedy of 11 September and its related issues. Photo competition represents one of the parts of the activities.
Selection criteria:
The work should reflect the horrific nature of terrorism and his vision of eliminating the problem;
Each contestant can submit only one photo;
A photo must be in JPG format and the file size must not exceed 5 megabytes;
A photo can be taken by a camera as well as a mobile phone;
A contest photo must be accompanied by a brief description. In addition, a contestant has to submit his/her first name, last name, age, contact number, position/institution and profession.
Contestant’s personal information will be used in order to contact only within the frame of this contest.

The deadline for submitting photos is 5 September, 2017.
In case of plagiarism, contest organizers reserve the right to disqualify a contestant.
The exhibition will be organized on 15 September, 2017 and a winner will be announced.
