4 July has been celebrated as the day of Lagodekhi Municipality for the first time. Caucasus International University is one of the initiators. This day coincides with the day of Saint Martyr Archil and King Luarsab, as the building of Lagodekhi was connected to King Archil II’s name.
It was decided to announce 4 July as the day of municipality one year ago when the working group of Caucasus Regional Institute, by the supervision of Tamar kobakhidze, a teacher of Ilia Chavchavadze Literary and Memorial Museum and a guide created a unique work on Archil II's reign and work. Furthermore, Temur Japaridze drew the icon which is at Lagodekhi Kazan Saint Mary’s Church.
Alexandre Rusetski, head of CIU Department of Innovations and strategic Development and Tamar Kobakhidze attended the parish at Kazan St. Mary’s church within the framework of the visit. In addition, they organized a working meeting with the representatives of the municipality, museum, Mskhalgori expedition.
The representatives of the delegation listened to the detailed challenges of the municipality and future plans in the round-table format and gave particular advice and recommendations in relation to strategic, economic and tourism potential.
Creation of working group has been planned. They will continue to work further in this direction and produce interesting results.
By the initiative of Aleksandre Rusetski, Polish University choir visited Lagodekhi in order to celebrate municipality Day. They held a concert with local singers and choreographers.
