Performance – Hello, Sokhumi!

Sokhumi State Youth Theatre held a performance “Hello, Sokhumi” at Nodar Dumbadze Professional State Youth Theatre on 27 March, 2017.

The performance was staged by Giorgi Ratiani according to Nodar Dumbadze’s work “Helados” and Guram Odisharia’s “Return to Sokhumi”.

“Helados” depicts the struggle for self-establishment between Iangul and Jemal. It is worth mentioning that their fight never exceeds limits of humanity and they never lose respect towards each other even in tensed situations.  “Home country is deeper, more inside” – this is the emotion that calls Greek Iangul to return, when he makes crucial decision on his way back to Greece with his father and other people.

The performance was held by the financial support of Vakhtang Tsivtsivadze, Caucasus International University Chancellor. About 200 CIU students and the representatives of the administration attended the play.
