Caucasus International University Regional Centre for Tourism Development held a short training course – “Agro-Tourism” by the invitation of Jemal Sologhashvili, chairperson of Mtskheta Municipal Assembly on 28 February, 2017. The course was conducted by Tamar Koblianidze, Professor at Caucasus International University and a trainer of TEMPUS project CruiseT.
The course participants will become familiar with the forms of agro-tourism, its main characteristics, specificity of agro-touristic products, marketing issues and aspects of business planning. During the training the special emphasis has been placed on the perspectives of the development of agro-tourism in Georgia and future plans.
The course aimed at raising the qualification of the individuals employed in agro-tourism, stimulating the development of agro-tourism and its popularization. The training-course used interactive method, which enabled the participants to become actively engaged in discussions.
The training was attended by 15 people. Jemal Sologhashvili awarded the participants certificates upon completion of the training.
