Caucasus International University Regional Centre for Tourism Development held a short training course “Agro-Tourism” as a result of the invitation received from Gori Municipality Tourism Development Agency on 21 February, 2017. The course was conducted by Caucasus International University professor and trainer of TEMPUS project CrusieT, Tamar Koblianidze.
The participants of the course became familiar with the forms and main characteristics of agro-tourism, specificity of agro-touristic products, issues of marketing and promotion and aspects of business planning; in addition, the perspectives of its development in Georgia.
The course aimed at raising the qualification of the individuals employed in agricultural tourism, stimulating the development of agricultural tourism and its popularization. The training course was conducted by using interactive methods which envisages active participation of the participants.
About 20 participants of the course were awarded certificates.
